Love's Rule & A Bit of Thanksgiving...

This is me... Guess who taught me this pose?
One is squared, straight and tight
The other round curved and smooth
Some may think the fits not right
But they don't understand love's rule
When love comes calling
It pays no attention to shapes
or to how one looks
There is only one condition
One rule in the book.
Pureness of the ready willing heart
For nothing else matters
The fit is perfect
True love is blessed with a good start....

Twas' a Blessings to be true
The day mine eyes came to rest upon you

Brave to speak your mind
And when I looked back
YOU were looking too.

Of All Things..

They shared their first date on(Dec 7,1941) the day Pearl Harbor was bombed. They married 6mos later (Jun 8,1942. They built a business & bought a home.Raised a family. (The American Dream) They lost their son, when he drown at 17yrs old. Through it all, for 65yrs, they showed everyone in their life what it meant to love someone. I am blessed that "they" were my rock.....

Many things have fallen apart in my life.  Things did not go as I thought they would.  Do they ever go as we think they will?  We need to be better equipped to adapt and move forward.  I have learned this over and over again.  Over the last six years, I have found many changes to adapt to.  The loss of my grandparents really was the hardest I have ever faced.  Any of my friends can agree, that I have been a bit blue.  Bubbly... not so much.  Taking the world on with a smile as best as I can as my grandparents would want me to.  They are truly missed and not a day goes by that I do not think of them.

Today it has been a year..
(10-17-2010)

You are missed Nana...
I was blessed to have known you and been in your life.
You gave so much to us all.

It is true that your cooking was wonderful and no one made us feel more at home than you.  I loved playing card games with you and just simply being in your company.  You & Papa always made me feel loved.  I cherish all that you taught me.  Of all things... I miss holding your hand the most.

Give Papa (&Uncle Danny) hugs and kisses in heaven.

all my love,
Jeri Diane

All Is A lot ..... Is Everything

All is A lot.....& is everything,

All is a lot .... & is everything,

It is nothing to a heart in love.

For a heart In love,
          will stop at nothing
                      to give you everything ...freely.

No price to be paid....
At no cost to the one you love....

There should be no burden on them to bare....

A willing heart open to care...

For they dare to freely return such love

The true cost ...

The price one will pay for love...
nothing......
            & everything....
                                it is ALL
& it is a lot.......

King of Hearts....Ya, right....

King of Hearts...Ya, right... (*for you my friend...)

We have all been here.  It seems a right of passage for any of us who tend to give our hearts out of love.  Not expecting, but in hope of being cared for in return.  If in friendship or in falling in love with the one of our dreams... there is pain when the person who you thought was really isn't.....
It is unfortunate that the fall will not always come to both.
One can only hope that the timing will be right.
I say just be your true self.  If you are loved for who you truly are, then when it is returned and you both fall, you will know it is right.

Two songs have been on my mind :
The first one......

Natalie Imbruglia ~ Torn

And this one.....

Sara Bareilles ~ King of Anything

I always say never assume anything...
and never take things personally always do your best!!!  Speak well of yourself and of others!  Set the bar high and rise above it!  [*please note....I am not perfect....I fail at this....but I do try! ;)]

It is not always about you...~ you know...it is the old saying..."It's not you, it's me!"  Well I come by those thoughts by the book written by Don Miguel Ruiz: The Four Agreements.
  They are as follows:

1. Be impeccable with your word.
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or gossip about others.  Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

2.  Don't take anything personally.
Nothing others do is because of you.  What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream.  When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be a victim of needles suffering.

3. Don't make assumptions.
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want.  Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama.  With just this one agreement you can completely transform your life.

4.  Always do your best.
Yours best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different from when you are healthy as opposed to sick.  Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.

 Have a great week!

Priscilla Ahn's "A Dream" Music Video

Thinking of four generations of women in my family... how lucky I was to have had that time in my life....  Miss you Nana...  I can't believe it has almost been a year.

This song makes me think of my Nana and how she had a good life and helped me have one too....

It also makes me think of my mountains and other playtime areas growing up...........

time in the creek...
the meadow..
the pond
building forts and catching bugs, salamanders & frogs....

An old car parked outside suddenly became our adventure cruiser.  We were going places!!

The fun continues and the dreaming never stops!  Passing along the playtime in the woods to my kids....

Open Up..Empty Your Cup! ~ Why you should “empty your cup”

I was talking to someone today about first impressions.  It is hard sometimes to get the right take on a person the first time you encounter them.  For all you know, it could be in the middle of the worst period of their life.  What if the reason you are being thrown together with this person is for their need of a skill that you possess?  Your ability to pick yourself up by your bootstraps, dust yourself off and carry on, may be a talent they never learned.  Could it be divine intervention for you to teach this skill to them, while in turn you will be left with a few gifts from them?  It seems there is much more learning exchanged in life than what goes on at schools.  We seem to learn from our peers throughout our lives.

I am a very open person.  I strive for it.  I do have my times of wanting to hide away and lock everyone out.  There are definite times when I want to go a whole day without talking to a single sole.  Sometimes a whole weekend will go by and I won't have talked to any of my friends.  I have thought myself to be a perfect candidate for one of those island escape jobs.  Perfect for that, but far from perfect.  A retreat to an island or the woods to stay there locked away from the world for three months would be fantastic at first thought.  I think I would be fine for the first month.  Okay, maybe just first week to weekend, and then after that I would need my facebook & google buzz.    Then I would need more!  I admit that as much as I enjoy my quiet time, I really am a people person.  I enjoy the company of others.  Even if it is just small talk and getting to know what makes them tick.  I enjoy finding out about them and how they live.  To me I think we all are different wonderfully unique incredible people who can offer the world and each other so much.  To stay closed off with a full cups means we do not want more.  It also really means we have no more to give.  I would rather say that I am broken than to not be a giving person.

In some ways I believe you have to completely lose everything and become broken before you really know what you want and what you have to offer.  Or until you know how much room you have to fill and how much you can give.  I have gone through this transformation a time or two.  It isn't very fun.  At the same time however, I have learned much about the amazing blessings of friendships I have gained in this life.  I have also learned how strong I am as a person and just how capable I am.

There is always a bubbly side... a Sunny side of the street!  Enjoy the attached blog!  Enjoy your weekend!

Busy Busy Busy...I miss my friends!!

If one scheme of happiness fails, human nature turns to another; if the first calculation is wrong, we make a second better: we find comfort somewhere.

JANE AUSTEN, Mansfield Park

I love Jane Austen!!  She knew things of what goes on in life and the workings of the heart...

I think it is amazing how we are able to comfort each other.  We find true companionship in our friends and are able to relate the details of our lives to people who we have met.  How is it that we become so close so quickly with some and yet others, remain distant?   I know some people for five minutes and it is like I have known them my whole life.  Others, I have know that long and then there are a distant few.  The NUTS you just can't crack....  I will never understand why some are so closed off.  I wonder if there is something to hide???  Maybe they are just shy?  I get that way too.

I have my times when I just do not feel at ease.  Times when I have an easier time of just keeping to myself.  I also never know if I am intruding.  I wouldn't want to overstep and make others uncomfortable.  So, at those times I keep to myself.

This week and the past few have been so busy.  We have been on the GO a lot.  I have not been able to keep my posting going.  It would be great to find one of my friends who would like to share this post with me... something simple and positive.... for a Sunday AM or PM???  Anyone???    Email me: keepitbubbly@yahoo.com

I am taking inventory in my life this week....of my blessings!!!  I am really missing my friends.  The new busy has me all over the place!  I wish for some calm... some quiet and some escape!  "Star light....Star bright...." you get the idea.....

Blessings to all

Doing What 'You' Want

" There is no set path............
Follow Your Heart!"

Sunday Morning Sunshine comes to you after the sun has set.    A long week followed by a really nice late into the night visit with a good friends to set me straight.

Have you ever caught yourself constantly talking of what you "don't want?"  I had this pointed out to me most recently.  I have spent a lot of time finding what I don't want. In fact, I was told that I need to stop saying what I don't want and start saying what I do want.

It makes sense too.  Change your view... sit at a new window.... or in the opposite chair......put the shoe on the other foot.  This is what I will do.  I have always written it down.  My focus is going to change because I have been positively focusing on the negative of want.  I have been focused on what I don't want instead of focusing on what I do want.  So to let you know what I have so far...  I want to be happy,  I want joy, and passion in simple everyday things.

So I am writing my list to keep it clear for myself of the things I want.  I am also accepting the joy of knowing that life will just keep pulling one closer to their rightful path everyday.  One just needs to "let go accept where life is taking you!  It is when we take control  (like in down hill skiing ...and try to stop when going really fast) that all the problems begin!  Go with it and move with the mountain.  Go where it is taking you....(in skiing and the like) be mindful of any cliffs!!

LOSING IT!!

Quote:
"I have lived long enough
to learn how much there is I can really do without...
He is nearest to God who needs the fewest things."
~SOCRATES

Have you ever been asked the following question: "Have you completely lost it?"  Well, this might be exactly what is needed in your life.  I don't mean go off the deep end and walk away from all you have.   What I do mean is take stock in what you have and how it is serving you.  What purpose dose it serve?  Is it serving you well enough to hold onto it, or is it time to let it go?  If there is something in your life that is just wasting your time and keeping you from having the enjoyment you deserve   Then maybe you need to walk away from it?

We are constantly being confronted with time wasters.  Life is the journey not the destination.  Take your time and enjoy the journey doing what you love!  If you are not enjoying your life, that is on you.  You can try and blame someone else, but everyday it comes down to the decisions you make.  If you want a different life, then start living your life differently.  It starts with you.  What do you want?  Take stock in what is important to you and who is important to you.  Design the life you want to live one step at a time.

The way I see it....YOU don't need a lot to be rich.  It isn't quantity it is quality that is important.

A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone ~ Henry David Thoreau

Let go of the things that waste your time and take you in the direction you do not want to go.  Start taking steps everyday to live the life you desire with those you love.
