Two young girls.... one almost 16 

Drive past a walking cowboy  & bravely scream 

He the cutest they had known & ever had seen.

To their cries he replied for them to stop & asked what they had said....

The youngest one quietly looked up & could only say: "woo."

Then sweetly he leaned in and gave her the first REAL kiss she ever knew....

The other girl turned in shock..... as she watched her friend float away...

She had only four words to say..... "I want one too."

Memories of long talks with boys

Nothing more exchanged, but to lend their jacket to a girl who was always cold....

Funny how that never changes....& Mom's did raise their boys right...

Not sure who was more scared, but those friendships will last forever.....

Memories of  another time & a smile on his face

I often wonder if he knew...  my heart cheered for him.

Did he realize that I thought back then... as I do today

A connection that in my heart would stay... some 20 plus years...

Feelings that there was nothing...  together we couldn't do?

It wasn't our first kiss, but it was the one that took my breath away

We were just hanging out at the yard full of stuff...

Sitting there on the tailgate of that old truck

You smiled at me as I rambled nervously..

You weren't afraid to press your luck ...

You grabbed  my face in your firm strong hands

You simply kissed my words away

Making my butterflies stir a bit more...

Oh how I enjoy

 Memories of that time with you at the yard

The boy who I adored,

Grew to be a man I will always love without condition...

That time is precious....looking back....

Walk away from me now

 & if you must tear me a bit or more with your words...

I get it.... it's okay.... YOU should know by now,
I love hard & in full...

My heart isn't capable to love in any other way

So many entries I could write... Happy Valentine's Day!!!  Stay Positively Present....  Go after what you Want in this life... It all happens so fast... Opportunity is always there.... if you are not going after your dreams someone else is!!!
